COVID 19 Protocols

American Gold Star Manor is deeply concerned for the safety or our residents, staff, guests, and vendors. For everyone’s safety, we require that all City of Long Beach Health Department guidelines be followed relating to COVID-19 by all parties entering the property. In the event a situation is not covered by this protocol, then the guidance of the next highest regulating body is in effect (State of California, CDC, WHO). Staff are required to adhere to the instructions of CalOHSA and OSHA to ensure safety at all times.  If you need help getting access to essential services such as vaccines or food, please contact the office and the staff will provide information on resources.

Hours: 7:30-4 Monday through Friday, closed weekends and holidays.

Should Covid 19 Protocols be reinstated, the following policies would apply:

Face Coverings will be required indoors at all times regardless of vaccination status. Residents, especially those over 65 years of age or with underlying health conditions, are strongly encouraged to follow the guidelines of the City of Long Beach Health Department and remain at home except for essential needs. We also ask that residents voluntarily report positive COVID test results to the office so that the staff can assist with the needs of the resident and perform any required notifications to staff and the Long Beach Health Department.

The office will be open to residents and guests unless otherwise directed by the City of Long Beach Health Department, but we ask that residents minimize their time in the office and use alternative contact options whenever possible to minimize their risks. Residents may call the office at 562-426-7651 or email at info@goldstarmanor.org to make appointments for services, submit work orders, or share comments or concerns. Residents can also create work orders and make rent payments online through the resident portal. There is a contactless drop box provided at the Main Office for all paperwork including rent checks, recertifications, and applications. If you require assistance, please contact the office via phone or email.

Service requests will continue to be handled by maintenance staff during business hours, and emergency maintenance requests should be made to the guard shack by calling 562-426-4052 when the office is closed. We ask that residents sanitize the work area, wear masks when maintenance is in their unit, and go into a separate room and close the door while repairs are conducted. Maintenance staff will wear masks, gloves, and sanitize the work area. If a maintenance worker feels unsafe, or the resident fails to follow the guidelines, they are required to leave the unit and the resident will be contacted by the office to discuss next steps to completing the service request. We recommend sanitizing the area again after maintenance leaves for safety.

Please see the City of Long Beach Health Department Guidelines for additional guidance
